According to talkSPORT, Bournemouth have no plans to sell Alex Scott during the January transfer window despite renewed interest from several major clubs. The midfielder remains a key part of the Cherries’ long-term plans, and club sources are adamant he will stay at the Vitality Stadium until at least the end of the season.
Chelsea are reportedly preparing a fresh attempt to sign the England international after seeing an offer worth £64 million rejected during the summer. Real Madrid have also been monitoring Scott’s progress, particularly after his impressive first start for England in their 7-0 victory over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League.
Interest in the 23-year-old continues to grow, but Bournemouth remain determined to resist any approaches midway through the campaign. The club regard Scott as one of their most important players and are unwilling to weaken the squad during the season.
However, there is uncertainty surrounding his long-term future. Scott has so far declined to sign a new contract, a situation that could increase speculation in the months ahead. To make matters worse, the midfielder is expected to spend up to two months on the sidelines after aggravating a quad injury during the Croatia rout.
