Bournemouth stand firm in face of Alex Scott interest

According to various sources, Bournemouth are determined to keep hold of Alex Scott, despite strong interest from some of Premier League’s biggest clubs, as well as his rejection of a new contract offer which would include a release clause.

Liverpool were the first to be linked with the 22-year-old midfielder – those rumours seem to have been inevitable after coach Andoni Iraola left the Cherries and took charge at the Merseyside club. Chelsea have reportedly seen a concrete offer of £64 million turned down by Bournemouth, who are now working hard to fend off interest from Arsenal. Both Manchester clubs have been credited with interest as well.

Bournemouth signed Scott from Bristol City three years ago for around £20 million. Since then, he’s made a total of 89 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring six goals and assisting his teammates on five occasions. He played a huge role as the Cherries finished sixth in the Premier League in 2025-26 under Iraola and secured Europa League qualification for the upcoming season.
