Last Season: Woodall skated in all 68 games last season for the Windsor Spitfires of the Canadian Hockey League. He scored 12 goals and 51 assists for a team that finished 44-15-6-3, 2nd place in their conference, and made it to the conference final. He was an OHL third team All-Star.
Season Outlook: As a 20-year-old freshman coming out of the CHL, Woodall will immediately be an important piece of a BC defense that is going through a lot of turnover. He has plenty of experience at a similar level of hockey and his two-way abilities could be a big boon for the offense and the powerplay unit. He’s a bit undersized, so his impact could be limited against the boards, but overall he is one of the best pickups that the Boston College staff made this offseason. It still remains to be seen how much he’ll actually play, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up on one of BC’s top defensive pairings.
