Boko Haram attack claims 11 lives in Adamawa

Eleven people are said to have been killed in a Boko Haram insurgency attack in Adamawa State.

The attack was launched on a community in Gombi Local Government Area, which borders Hong, the LGA that has been most affected by Boko Haram attacks in recent months.

DAILY POST gathered on Monday that the 11 people in the Gombi incident were killed when the insurgents attacked Dzangola community in Gombi LGA on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Commenting on the attack on Monday evening, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mathiya Wesley, said the attack had come as one too many.

Wesley, who hails from Hong LGA, which has been bearing the brunt of Boko Haram attacks in Adamawa State since the insurgency began, urged the authorities to find an enduring solution to give the troubled communities respite.

Speaking specifically about the experience of the people of Dzangola, the Speaker said they did not deserve the wickedness meted out to them.
