The Buffalo Bills did most of their long-term contract work last offseason.

Most of their core is now secured for the long haul thanks to deals signed in 2025.

One player, though, is due for a potential extension this offseason: O’Cyrus Torrence.

The offensive guard has been solid enough that the Bills could look into what it’ll cost to keep him around for years to come.

ESPN’s Aaron Schatz suggests that a Torrence extension makes sense, writing that as part of a new article about one move that every team still needs to make this offseason.

The Bills have done a lot, including revamping their coaching staff and trading for DJ Moore. A simple Torrence extension could put a bow on things.

“The Bills don’t have too many major contracts ending after the 2026 season, but it would be good to keep their offensive line continuity by re-upping Torrence,” Schatz writes. “He is far from the best guard in the league, but last season he ranked above average in ESPN’s pass block win rate (93.3%, 25th) and run block win rate (74.1%, 13th). He’s also still just 26 years old, so he’s right in his prime.”

The guard spot is particularly key for Buffalo after losing Torrence’s peer on the other side of the offensive line, David Edwards, in free agency this offseason.

The Bills did retain center Connor McGovern, who was also heading for free agency this offseason, so that was a solid move.

Torrence is good enough next to McGovern to not overthink this. It makes sense to keep him around.

The Bills continue to have an open Super Bowl window, but they’ve yet to step through it. And while a Torrence move wouldn’t generate huge headlines, it could be what they need to still get done this summer.
