The Buffalo Bills opened the regular-season era at New Highmark Stadium with a massive statement victory, and veteran left tackle Dion Dawkins could not hide his excitement afterward. Buffalo delivered an offensive masterclass during Thursday night’s 41-31 win over the Detroit Lions, leaving Detroit’s defense gasping for air while the offensive line had absolute fun in the trenches.

For Dawkins, the relentless pace and fearless play-calling under offensive coordinator Joe Brady felt less like grueling NFL labor and far more like a video game console coming to life.

Rather than deferring to defense like most teams, the Bills elected to take the football immediately, establishing a confident tone across the entire sideline.
