Bills at Raiders: 5 things to watch for during Week 6's game

The Buffalo Bills will continue their 2026 NFL regular season on Sunday with their next game en route against the Las Vegas Raiders. Kickoff on the west coast is slated for 4:15 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium.

The Rams got back to winning ways after faltering early this season as they are fresh off a comeback win and sit at 2-2. Meanwhile, the Bills fell to 3-1 and sustained their first loss of the year a week ago.

Between two such teams, what should you keep in mind during the contest?

With that, here are Bills Wire’s five things to watch for in Week 6:

The focus is usually on Josh Allen heading into games. He is the quarterback, after all.

This week, it’s all about running back James Cook following his fumbling probably in last week’s win over the Los Angeles Rams. Buffalo head coach Joe Brady said that Cook has to get better at holding onto the ball… or else…

Will Cook put it on the ground against the Raiders?

Defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard said it himself: Something has to change for the defense. The Bills have been brutal there, particularly in the secondary. The Raiders’ passing attack ranks as the eighth best in the NFL heading into Week 6 (253.6 YPG).

What will Jim do?

With a quarter of the NFL season gone, we’re starting to see where teams stand in the turnover differential battle. The Bills and Raiders are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Raiders are at +3 with seven interceptions on defense. The Bills are a -4.

This could decide the game.

Similar to turnovers, the tight end comparison is going in opposite directions ahead of this one and is something to watch for.

The Raiders have Brock Bowers. The have Dalton Kincaid. Both are former first-round picks.

Bowers has played in three games this year, putting up no less than 86 yards in each outing, surpassing 100 yards in two of them. Meanwhile, Kincaid has back-to-back games posting only one catch for seven yards.

Buffalo has become too accustomed to watching the injury report throughout the start of the season. Yet, here we are again.

It’s unclear what the game day status of offensive line Spencer Brown (back), defensive tackle Ed Oliver (knee), wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) and cornerback Dee Alford (ankle) will be once we get to the end of the week. Will they play? Will these players be hampered by their injuries?

We’ll see on Sunday.
