The Boston Celtics seemingly have reached a point of no return with Jaylen Brown, but Bill Simmons doesn’t see it that way.

The Celtics reportedly remain committed to trading Brown following their failed attempt to swap him for Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, several rumors indicate Boston has been disappointed with offers for the star forward.

So, on Tuesday, Simmons proposed a solution.

“This Jaylen situation can be fixed with one 3-hour dinner in the private room at Toscano’s — table for 6, the Jays, Joe Mazz, Stevens, Chisholm and Wyc,” Simmons wrote on X. “The right trade isn’t there, s–t happened, just talk it out without agents, family and extended circle flunkies poisoning it.”

Maybe that would work, maybe it wouldn’t. But all signs point toward the Celtics wanting to move on from Brown this offseason.

Regardless, his future will continue to be one of the NBA’s hottest storylines.
