Andy Reid has guided the Kansas City Chiefs to an unbeaten 4-0 start to the season as they enter their early Bye Week.

Patrick Mahomes has looked like the Patrick Mahomes that everyone has come to expect over the years following his brutal injury last year. And the addition of Kenneth Walker III has proven an inspired move for the Chiefs.

There is certainly a lot to be excited about back at Arrowhead Stadium as the players enjoy an early break in the season. However, Bill Simmons has noticed something which is slightly concerning him when it comes to the Chiefs returning to the juggernaut status they’ve had for the best part of the last decade.

The Chiefs have the joint-second lowest points allowed total in the AFC, but there are concerns over the lack of pressure being put on the opposition’s quarterbacks.

Bill Simmons worried by lack of sacks from Kansas City Chiefs

Through the opening four weeks, the Chiefs have allowed the 12-fewest number of total yards, but the 18-fewest passing yards. The lack of pressure being put on the opposition’s quarterbacks is clearly an area for improvement.

“On the KC side, they haven’t had a sack in the last three games. They just lost their deep threat, so they’re heading into the bye week. I certainly wouldn’t say they’re a juggernaut like we would have in the past… Do you feel like this is just a different era for them?” Simmons said on his podcast.

The last three games, as Simmons mentioned, have not returned a single sack for the Chiefs’, which is something Chris Jones has commented on too.

“Just give y’all another week to write about the Chiefs’ defensive line that suck and why y’all pay me and George, it’s ok we giving up 10 points a game and are 3-0,” said Jones heading into the Vegas game.

When the Chiefs do return from the Bye Week, they will be facing a Los Angeles Chargers team that have just allowed four sacks on Justin Herbert against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
