The Women’s First Team are just one step away from reaching the League Phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League, and a two-legged tie with SKN St. Polten awaits in the third qualification round.
Having successfully navigated their way through the second rounds Mini Tournament, hosted in Biella, the Bianconere will face the Austrians on Wednesday, 26 August, and Wednesday, 2 September.
St. Polten earned their place in the third qualifying round after beating Sporting CP in their Mini Tournament final.
Previous meetings
The Austrian side are a familiar opponent in European competition for the Bianconere. The first meeting between the two sides came on 21 August, 2021, again in the qualification rounds. Then, the Bianconere won 4-1 thanks to goals from Barbara Bonansea (two), Cristiana Girelli and Lina Hurtig.
That win was one of many memorable results that season, which ended in the Bianconere reaching the quarter-finals of the competition.
The two sides met more recently just last season, on 9 December, 2025. Again, the Bianconere came out on top with a 5-0 win in Austria, with goals from Amalie Vangsgaard, a Cristiana Gielli brace, Tatiana Pinto and Paulina Krumbiegel.
