Benue: Agom Anthony emerges APC candidate for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency

Agom Anthony has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Following the conclusion of voting and collation of results by party officials, Rt. Hon. Agom Anthony was declared winner with 19,124 votes

Hon. Innocent Ikwumonu polled 884 votes, Hon. Patience Ene Akor secured 853 votes, Hon. Abah Okoriko got 815 votes, Hon. John Mary Idoko recorded 599 votes, while Hon. Fred Apoch scored 438 votes.

With the official announcement of the results, Rt. Hon. Agom Anthony has now become the APC flag bearer for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

In his acceptance speech, the APC candidate expressed appreciation to party stakeholders, delegates, members, and supporters for the trust placed in him.

He assured constituents of inclusive leadership, effective representation, and sustained efforts toward the development of Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo communities.

Meanwhile, Okoriko has rejected the outcome of the primaries, saying the exercise was marred by irregularities.
