Bayonne Little League in Metro Region: Scores, schedule, TV info

Bayonne Little League is representing New Jersey in the Metro Region Tournament from Aug. 8-14 in Bristol, Connecticut.

Bayonne captured its first-ever New Jersey Tournament title on Aug. 3, defeating Blackwood Kiwanis, 9-3, at Creston Field in Cresskill.

Bayonne is just the fifth Hudson County charter to capture a Little League state title since the tournament was first held in 1957, and the first since Roberto Clemente (Jersey City) in 1988. The West New York Americans won in 1960 and went back to back in 1966-67. Bayonne is the first team out of Section 2 to win a state title since Elmora (Elizabeth) in 2019.

Previously known as the Mid-Atlantic Region, the Metro Region was introduced by Little League in 2022 and includes the state champions from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The winner of the tournament represents the region at the Little League World Series from Aug. 19-30 at the Little League International Complex, Lamade and Volunteer Stadiums in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
