Bayern Munich winger Luis Díaz and defender Kim Minjae are not expected to be sidelined for a long time as coach Vincent Kompany suggested they could be back for next week’s big Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.
“I hope it is similar time-wise for both. That means not so long, maybe less than a week,” Kompany said after Wednesday’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Arsenal.
Medical examinations were to follow but Kompany said “I believe that very severe injuries can be ruled out.”
Kim started against Arsenal despite not being fully fit and lasted only the first half. Díaz, who did not start owing to muscular problems, came on in the 68th but was substituted again late in the game.
The match against Dortmund is on October 31. Before that comes Sunday’s match at third-placed Freiburg which Díaz and Kim are set to miss.
Champions Bayern top the table on goal difference ahead of Dortmund, with Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen one point behind.
