Barcelona’s perfect start to the La Liga season is being backed up by strong numbers in almost every major statistical category.
Hansi Flick’s side have won all seven league matches, collected 21 points and produced an attacking output that has left their main rivals trailing.
Notably, Barcelona have scored 31 goals in seven La Liga matches, which translates to an average of 4.2 per game.
The gap to the teams around them is striking, as Barça have scored 15 more than Atletico Madrid, 13 more than Real Madrid and 22 more than Real Betis.
There is more than meets the eye
Barcelona’s numbers away from home are particularly impressive, as they have scored 11 more goals on the road than both Real Madrid and Atletico, while conceding three fewer than each.
The attacking dominance is also reflected in chance creation. Barça have registered 119 shots, compared with 99 for Real Madrid and 85 for Atletico.

On the other end, only 51 shots have been attempted against Barcelona, which is an average of seven per match. To put it in perspective, Real Madrid have faced 89.
Flick’s team also lead La Liga for possession at 68%, while their 103 successful dribbles narrowly put them ahead of Real Madrid’s 100.
Furthermore, they have also produced 24 assists and completed 85.29% of their passes in the opposition half.
According to AS, their 26.05% conversion rate is another standout figure, considerably above Atletico’s 19% shooting accuracy and Real Madrid’s 18%.
Flick’s Barcelona combine intensity with control
The numbers are not limited to possession and attacking football, as Barcelona have committed 67 fouls, showing the intensity with which they compete.

Interestingly, Barcelona have also been fouled fewer times than their closest rivals. Opponents have committed 66 fouls against Barça, compared with 80 against Atletico and 97 against Madrid.
Moreover, as far as individual stats are concerned, Raphinha leads La Liga’s scoring charts with 12 goals, while Lamine Yamal has seven.
The Brazilian also ranks second for shots on target with 29, only two behind Kylian Mbappe, shares the assist lead with Anthony Gordon on four and has completed more successful dribbles than any other player.
Barcelona not limited to offence
The control is not solely being produced by Barcelona’s attackers, as Pau Cubarsi ranks second in La Liga for successful passes, while Pedri leads the competition for completed passes in the opposition half.
Goalkeeper Joan Garcia has also been perfect when dealing with aerial balls over his area.
As Diego Simeone suggested, Barcelona are operating on a whole different level and if the form continues, Flick can finally conquer Europe.
