The update is contained in a press statement issued by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, who attributed the funeral arrangements to Bamanga Tukur’s family.

Wonosikou said the burial arrangements announced by a son of the deceased, Awwal Tukur, showed that the body would be flown to Yola on Saturday evening.

He said the late elder statesman would be laid to rest on Sunday after funeral prayers at the Lamido Adamawa’s Palace, Yola, at 10:00am.
