Ballon d’Or 2026: Hamza Abdelkarim picks Barcelona teammate who deserves award

Barcelona forward, Hamza Abdelkarim, has picked teammate Lamine Yamal as the player who deserves to win the Ballon d’Or the most.

Yamal is among the 30 players shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or, and the winner will be announced in October.

“There are many players in the team who could win it . They would deserve it,” Abdelkarim said as quoted by Barca Universal as saying.

“But I think we can all agree that in Lamine’s case, it would be very deserved. I’m very happy to play alongside him every day,” he said.

Yamal won the World Cup with Spain in the summer and also won the LaLiga title with Barcelona last season.
