The MCU brings Avengers: Doomsday into another universe in an exciting crossover with the MLB.
Marvel Studios’ upcoming superhero film, Avengers: Doomsday, enters one of the biggest sporting events of the year, giving audiences another look at the highly anticipated project. Thanks to a new promo, the next Avengers movie has become part of the 2026 World Series through a special collaboration with Major League Baseball. Check out the video below:
The crossover coincided with the first game of the World Series on Friday, October 23, 2026, when the Tampa Bay Rays faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field in Wisconsin. The matchup aired on Fox and was available to stream through Fox One, providing Marvel with the opportunity to promote its next major movie to a large demographic.
The preview revealed footage of Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, performing the first pitch with Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm (the Human Torch). The baseball-themed segment brings the two Fantastic Four members into a setting that is very far removed from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The promo includes several other Avengers characters, including Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang. The new preview also shows Ant-Man feeling awkward about which hero should be addressed as Captain America, considering that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, who picked up the mantle that was previously held by Steve, will be in Avengers: Doomsday, too.
The collaboration was revealed ahead of the World Series opener, with MLB promoting an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday during the broadcast. The announcement featured the Avengers logo appearing over Milwaukee’s American Family Field against a green sky, connecting the World Series to the upcoming movie.
