Auburn football injury updates: Alex Golesh shares latest on 4 Tigers
AUBURN — It has avoided battling any seismic injury bugs, but Auburn football‘s health has some question marks following the Tigers’ blowout loss to Ole Miss over the weekend.
Wide receiver Jeremiah Koger was ruled out leading into the contest, and Auburn saw three defensive backs — Andre Jordan Jr., AnQuon Fegas and Sylvester Smith-Reed — exit due to injuries against the Rebels.
On Monday, Nov. 2, head coach Alex Golesh provided a sweeping update for all four. Each was with the team at Monday’s practice, but Golesh did not comment on their statuses further, expecting to have a “better idea” of their availability Wednesday.
Koger, a South Florida transfer, was Auburn’s third-leading receiver through seven games, with 14 catches for 230 yards.
Jordan has started at cornerback in each of Auburn’s games and Smith-Reed has six starts in that span. Fegans and Jordan are also the Tigers leading interceptors, each posting two picks this season.
