According to TuttoMercato, Aston Villa is interested in signing Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta.
The Frenchman has emerged as one of Unai Emery’s major targets this summer, with Villa looking to strengthen its midfield ahead of the new season.
Atta joined Udinese from Metz in 2024, initially on loan, before the move was made permanent. He has since become an important player for the Serie A club and has attracted interest from several sides.
The 23-year-old has made 63 appearances for Udinese, scoring six goals. His physical profile, ball-carrying ability and versatility have made him one of the more interesting midfielders in Italy.
Aston Villa is expected to be active in the market after qualifying for the Champions League, and Emery is looking for more depth and energy in the middle of the pitch.
Udinese is unlikely to let Atta leave cheaply, especially after making his move permanent only last year. However, Villa’s interest could make his future one to watch during the summer window.
