Transfer rumours about Rafael Leao leaving AC Milan seem to be a recurring theme every summer. The Portuguese winger was, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the subject of a €100 million offer from Chelsea in the past, but his stock has significantly fallen since, and there appears to be a lack of suitors for the 27-year-old at this point. The Rossoneri would now accept an offer of €60 million for his services straight away – indeed, they possibly wouldn’t say no to even less than that.
Turkey has been mentioned as a potential destination for Leao, but he would apparently prefer a move to the Premier League. With Morgan Rogers set to join Chelsea, Aston Villa are a club that could make a move as they seek a replacement, and Leao would be open to the idea of playing for them, especially after they won the Europa League and secured a place in next season’s Champions League. With Rogers set to bring in around €130 million and Youri Tielemans already sold to Manchester United, the funds are surely there.
It remains, however, to be seen if manager Unai Emery decides he’d like Leao in his ranks, following an underwhelming season and on the back of a relatively poor showing at the World Cup.
