Aston Villa enquire about Bayern defender Kim in addition to Palhinha

According to TZ, Aston Villa are exploring a move for FC Bayern defender Kim Min-jae in addition to João Palhinha. While discussions for the Portuguese midfielder are at an advanced stage, Bayern and the center-back resisted Villa’s approach for the South Korean.

TZ understands Aston Villa contacted Kim’s representatives after the friendly between FC Bayern and the Europa League winners in Hong Kong last week. There were also enquiries for the 29-year-old during the World Cup.

However, Vincent Kompany wants to keep the player despite injuries and fitness issues restricting the Serie A and Bundesliga winner from playing with his full potential. TZ also reported that the player isn’t keen on a move away from Allianz Arena.
