One of the aspirants in the House of Representatives primary election for Epe Federal Constituency, BIA Eruobodo, has challenged collation officials over alleged irregularities recorded in Ward M1 during the exercise.

Reports from the collation centre indicated that Eruobodo raised objections and protested what he described as irregularities and questionable actions that allegedly undermined the credibility of the voting process in the ward.

The protest reportedly created tension among supporters and party stakeholders present at the venue as electoral officials reviewed complaints and reports relating to the conduct of the exercise in Ward M1.

Following the complaints and subsequent deliberations by party officials, the election process in the ward was eventually cancelled pending further directives from the party leadership.

Party stakeholders and security personnel later intervened to calm the situation and appealed to supporters of all aspirants to remain peaceful while allowing due process to take its course.

The incident later emerged as one of the major developments that shaped discussions during the primary election across the constituency.
