Arsenal will face defending Women’s Champions League holders Barcelona in the 2026-27 league phase following Friday’s draw in Nyon.
The Gunners, who reached the semi-finals last season before being knocked out by Lyon, will again take on the eight-time winners in the first phase of the competition.
Renee Slegers led Arsenal to their second European crown in 2024-25 with a 1-0 win over Barcelona, and they remain the only English side to win the tournament.
Arsenal will also face Benfica, Paris FC, HB Koge and Inter across six matchdays between September 22 and December 16, with the exact schedule released on Saturday.
Women’s Super League champions Manchester City take on Paris Saint-Germain, Inter, BK Hacken, Austria Wien, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
The Citizens are competing in the Champions League for the first time since 2024-25, when they reached the quarter-finals before losing 3-2 on aggregate to Chelsea.
Sonia Bompastor’s side were also in the draw after qualifying with a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in midweek, which sealed an emphatic 6-2 triumph on aggregate.
Chelsea have been drawn against PSG, Lyon, Roma, Hacken, Austria Wien and OH Leuven, with all roads leading to the final at the end of May at the Stadion Narodowy.

Barcelona, along with their clash against Arsenal, will also face Bayern, Paris FC, Roma, Servette and HB Koge.
In the second year that the Champions League adopts the new format, 16 teams will battle it out for a top-four spot that will see them advance to the quarter-finals.
Teams that finish from fifth down to 12th will take part in a two-legged play-off to determine who will advance.
