Riccardo Calafiori believes Arsenal need players such as Vinicius Junior and Bruno Guimaraes if they are to retain their Premier League title.
The Gunners won the English top-flight title for the first time since 2003-04 last season, edging Manchester City to the trophy with just one game to spare.
Arsenal also reached the finals of the Champions League and EFL Cup, losing to Paris Saint-Germain and City respectively, while they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton in the quarter-finals.
Mikel Arteta stated his desire to build a dynasty with Arsenal, and their summer transfer targets have reflected those goals.
The Gunners are reportedly close to completing a £75m move for Newcastle United captain Guimaraes, while rumours suggest they are also interested in Real Madrid’s Vinicius.
While reports on Thursday insist Vinicius is set to sign a new deal with Los Blancos, Calafiori believes Arsenal must go for the same calibre of player.
“We are on that level now,” said Calafiori when asked if the links to Guimaraes and Vinicius showed where Arsenal are as a club.
“We are top, and we want to win the Premier League again.
“We want to be even better than last season if we can. So, we need these kind of players, I think.”
