Arsenal boss Arteta won’t rule out Max Dowman loan

As relayed by Sky Sports, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has refused to rule out the possibility of Max Dowman spending time out on loan in the future, although the Gunners currently want the teenage sensation to remain part of the first-team setup.

The 16-year-old continues to generate excitement after another impressive display in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup victory over Ipswich, with his rapid development attracting increasing attention. Speaking about the youngster’s future, Arteta revealed that Arsenal regularly assess Dowman’s progress and will continue reviewing what is best for his development every six months.

While the Arsenal manager stressed that the club’s focus is on keeping Dowman at the Emirates for now, he acknowledged that loan moves can be beneficial for young players under the right circumstances. Arteta pointed out that factors such as playing time, squad depth, coaching opportunities and the player’s individual needs will all be taken into account before any decisions are made.

For the time being, however, Arsenal believe Dowman is in the ideal environment to continue his growth. Arteta says the club wants him to remain close to the first team and continue making an impact whenever opportunities arise.
