Fati has penned a four-year contract with Monaco, bringing an end to his career with Barcelona, with the club set to receive a fee of 11 million euros for the 23-year-old.

Here’s the club’s official statement.

FC Barcelona and AS Mònaco have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ansu Fati. The 23-year-old marks the end of his seventh stage with the Blaugrana after having played a total of 123 official matches with the first team, in which he has scored 29 goals. The Club reserves a percentage of a future sale.”

Fati scored 12 times in all competitions for Monaco in 2025-26 and enjoyed his time with the Ligue 1 club. He will now continue his career with Monaco after waving goodbye to Barcelona, the club he joined all the way back in 2012 as a 10-year-old.

The forward burst onto the scene when he made his debut against Real Betis aged just 16 years and 298 days in August 2019. Just days later he became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer (a record which Lamine Yamal has since beaten) when he scored against Osasuna.

However, injuries then disrupted his career and led to him being sent out on loan to Brighton and then to Monaco.

It was great to see Fati back scoring goals last season and let’s wish him all the best for the future.
