Angela Stanford hired by TCU as assistant coach for women's golf team

A day after a disappointing outcome at the Solheim Cup, U.S. captain Angela Stanford has a new gig.

Stanford has joined the TCU women’s golf team as an assistant coach.

TCU’s website said: “The greatest player in TCU women’s golf history is back in purple and white.”

Angela Stanford, four-time TCU All-American and recent Solheim Cup captain, is joining the TCU women’s golf staff as an assistant coach.

Stanford, who is from nearby Saginaw, Texas, about 15 miles away from Ft. Worth, was a four-time All-American for the Horned Frogs from 1996-2000, the only four-time All-American in program history. Stanford holds the school record for wins with 10.
