Angel Reese enters ‘WNBA All-Star Barbie’ era with candid poolside photos

Atlanta Dream superstar forward Angel Reese is gearing up for her third WNBA All-Star Weekend in as many years, but it marks her first since being traded from the Chicago Sky to the A.

But this weekend, when All-Star Weekend kicks off, Reese will be returning to her old stomping grounds in the Windy City, which she called home for the first two years of her professional career. There has been some documented tension between Reese and the Sky before she was traded, but she remains a fan favorite.

Ahead of her Chicago return, Reese has been active on social media and dropped a handful of photos as she prepares for the midseason break.

Reese, who boasts 5.2 million followers on Instagram, shared some candid poolside photos appropriately rocking a “Sky-blue” swimsuit with a caption dubbing herself “All-Star Barbie.”

“Giving [Victoria’s Secret] Barbie,” Reese wrote on Instagram. “Somebody loves his All-Star Barbie. Face Card. I [love] me. The color of the summer. The way you walk like that in the villa. More fine shiii.”

The Instagram account “Barbie Archives” shared a video of Reese enjoying vacation at the same villa ahead of All-Star Break.

When you’re an All Star, you deserve some R&R, especially after suffering an apparent injury that puts her full participation in All-Star Weekend and her return to the court in jeopardy.

Reese suffered an injury during the Dream’s 93-91 win over the Sky on Sunday, which leaves her status for this weekend’s All-Star Game up in the air. Whether she plays remains to be seen, but one thing we can count on is Reese embracing the time off and living her best life.
