Anakin Skywalker's 10 Most Impressive Clone Wars Feats

Anakin Skywalker had some impressive feats and accomplishments in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but these 10 moments were his absolute best. As the defacto main character of the series, Anakin Skywalker had some great episodes in The Clone Wars. Many of those episodes centered around his role as a general of the Grand Army of the Republic and the master of Ahsoka Tano, but The Clone Wars also included some of Anakin’s greatest Force feats.

In fact, Anakin was such a prolific Jedi during The Clone Wars that narrowing down his list of accomplishments to only the 10 best is a bit difficult. He was so famous even in-universe that Anakin was known as the Hero With No Fear. He fought in and won dozens of battles and major campaigns, commanded one of the most effective and feared Legions of clone troopers in the entire GAR, and proved himself countless times over.

It’s actually necessary to narrow down Anakin’s long list of accomplishments simply because there are so many. As such, this list will only consider feats from The Clone Wars itself, not those featured in the Star Wars movies, the earlier Clone Wars film, or supplementary media like comics and video games. Additionally, each feat will be judged in terms of its overall impact on the war and the galaxy, Anakin’s individual contribution, and based on how impressive they were.

Foiling The Assassination Of Satine Kryze

Satine Kryze is mostly noted for her connection to Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars, but she also had a very fateful run-in with Anakin Skywalker. When Tal Merrik tried to assassinate Kryze, Anakin was the only person willing to do what had to be done to foil his plans and save everyone aboard her ship. Stabbing Merrik in the back, Anakin saved countless lives and saved Obi-Wan and Satine from a major moral conundrum.

The real value of Anakin saving Satine Kryze’s life, however, can only be seen in the big picture. Anakin was the only person who could stop Merrik, as Satine was a pacifist and Obi-Wan’s feelings for her stayed his hand. On top of that, Anakin prolonged Satine’s life long enough for the pieces around Mandalore to fall into place, eventually leading to the Siege of Mandalore. Plus, Anakin had a few cool moments, like grabbing the detonator out of mid air.

Storming The Citadel

One of the most impressive things Anakin did, physically and mentally speaking, in The Clone Wars came when he raided the Citadel in search of Jedi Master Even Piell. Anakin was at the top of his game for the entire operation. He devised a plan to bypass life scanners using carbonite freezing, free-climbed a heavily armed wall, avoided countless traps, and improvised after several setbacks.

The Citadel arc is a top-notch example of why Anakin was one of the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. His tactical mind and his incredible physicality were on full display. He was likely the only Jedi who was headstrong and confident enough for this siege to work. On top of that, the Citadel arc also secured Tarkin’s freedom, which would obviously end up being hugely important to later Star Wars stories.

Exposing Barriss Offee’s Treason

In The Clone Wars season 5, Ahsoka was framed for bombing the Jedi Temple. While that arc is rightfully centered around her, Anakin also had a few moments to shine. Ahsoka was busy clearing her own name, which meant Anakin had to step up and expose Barriss Offee for treason. That was easier said than done, however, yet Anakin wouldn’t let the difficulty of the situation get in the way of clearing his Padawan’s name.

In his investigation, Anakin tracked down and bested Asajj Ventress in combat, then successfully extracted information from her. He then saw through Bariss’ lies and subdued her in a duel. Even though Barriss wasn’t as skilled as him, she did have two lightsabers at her disposal and the element of surprise, yet Anakin still managed to easily best her. If not for his independent investigation, Ahsoka’s name may never have been cleared, Barriss may never have been caught, and the Jedi Order may have been severely weakened.

Training Saw Gerrera & The Onderron Resistance

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Saw-Gerrera-in-Star-Wars-The-Clone-Wars.jpg?q=70&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=1" />
    </figure>

Though not terribly important to the Clone Wars itself, Anakin’s role in training Saw Gerrera was one of the most impactful things he did in the entire series. In a bit of guerrilla warfare, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka helped train a group of Onderon rebels to fight against the occupying Separatist forces. While Onderon itself would remain a battleground for the rest of the war, Saw Gerrera would go on to become one of the most important Rebels in the Galactic Civil War.

Aside from Saw’s later importance, Anakin’s time on Onderon also produced a few other impressive feats. There, he proved himself to be a very competent guerrilla warrior, and he proved an excellent teacher both to Saw and to Ahsoka Tano. For the most part, however, the main accomplishments of this mission belonged to other people, limiting how impressive it was for Anakin.

Destroying The Blue Shadow Virus

Though the first season of The Clone Wars wasn’t the show’s strongest outing, it did have a few fateful storylines. One of the most important centered around a mad scientist, Nuvo Vindi, who recreated the devastating Blue Shadow Virus. If Vindi’s airborne strain of the virus reached the outside world, Naboo and the rest of the galaxy would have been decimated on a scale even larger than the Clone Wars itself.

While Padmé Amidala and Ahsoka Tano were responsible for stopping the spread of the virus, Anakin proved invaluable in finding a cure for the virus and saving their lives. Anakin also captured Vindi, ensuring he couldn’t continue his work and recreate the virus for the Separatists. While it was a joint effort, without Anakin there, the Blue Shadow Virus would have destroyed the galaxy.

Capturing Poggle the Lesser & Averting The Brain Worm Crisis

The Second Battle of Geonosis was arguably the most important battle in the Clone Wars in general, and Anakin was a key reason the Republic secured victory. He, along with Luminara Unduli and their padawans, disabled the Geonosians’ renewed effort to expand the droid army. That was just the start of the feat, however, as Anakin also helped destroy the Geonosian Queen, capture Poggle the Lesser, and avert the brain worm crisis.

Any one of those feats would be worth writing home about. Without their Queen, the Geonosians didn’t pose half as much threat to the Republic. Poggle the Lesser was a founding member of the CIS and a huge target for the Republic. Apprehending him severely weakened the droid army. The brain worm crisis also could have caused massive problems for the GAR, but Anakin managed to torture information out of Poggle to keep them from infecting more clones. As with several other moments on this list, only Anakin could have accomplished all of these things, even if he did have a fair amount of help.

Destroying The Malevolence

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/star-wars-the-clone-wars-season-1-destroy-malevolence.jpg?q=70&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=1" />
    </figure>

Early on in The Clone Wars, there were several big developments from the Separatists that could have turned the tide of war had they not been averted. One such case was the Malevolence, a prototype ship operated by General Grievous that featured an energy weapon that could disable any ship’s electronics from a distance. The Malevolence was absolutely devastating and, if it had been implemented in more ships, would have made every single naval battle a decisive victory for the CIS.

Anakin had help in destroying the Malevolence, but he did quite a bit of the work himself. It was his idea to board the ship that ended up destroying the weapon, and it was his refusal to join with Obi-Wan Kenobi that saved Plo Koon’s life. He also smartly sabotaged the ship, ensuring the weapon couldn’t be used again. If any other Jedi besides Anakin were sent to deal with the threat of the Malevolence, the Republic would have lost the Clone Wars.

3

Defeating Admiral Trench

While the CIS was mostly made up of droids, there were a few organic beings that played pivotal roles in the Separatist military. One of those organics was Admiral Trench, a revered strategist and tactician who proved to be a massive threat to the GAR at Christophsis, Ringo Vinda, and Anaxes. Trench also proved incredibly difficult to kill on multiple occasions, always returning from near certain death with a new plan to terrorize the Republic.

Anakin eventually managed to kill Trench and rout his forces from Anaxes, but it was the circumstances of his victory that made it such an impressive feat. Trench had every advantage: he knew how to counter the Jedi, had insider information about the GAR’s tactics thanks to Echo, who had previously been captured, and even had a massive bomb as a failsafe. In spite of all these factors, Anakin managed to kill Trask, save Echo, and disarm the bomb. Had Trask been allowed to survive yet again, the Separatists could have made the end of the Clone Wars much more bloody. Additionally, aside from some help from Clone Force 99, Anakin mostly accomplished this on his own.

2

Bringing Balance To The Force On Mortis

It’s still not clear whether it really happened or not, but Anakin’s deeds during the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars are still the stuff of legend. Up against three embodiments of the Force itself — the Father, Daughter, and Brother — Anakin managed to balance the Force and fulfill his own destiny years before he became Darth Vader. While it didn’t last, Anakin achieved something on Mortis that no one ever has or ever will match.

Anakin also had some more case-specific feats during the Mortis arc. Most clearly, Anakin went toe-to-toe with multiple forces of nature and managed to dominate them all. He also saved Ahsoka from the Brother’s influence without killing her, saw visions of the future, and more. Any one of those feats would make this list, but accomplishing them all in the same story arc paints Anakin as an almost mythical being.

Training Ahsoka Tano

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/anakin-skywalker-and-ahsoka-in-star-wars_-the-clone-wars.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

Far and away, the most impressive thing Anakin Skywalker did in the course of The Clone Wars was training Ahsoka Tano as his padawan. By taking her under his wing and dispensing both wisdom and practical training, Anakin created one of the greatest Jedi in Star Wars and shaped the future of the entire galaxy. Nothing else he did in the show had as far-reaching effects as this, and nothing else was quite as single-handedly attributable to him.

Anakin gave Ahsoka all the keys she needed to become one of the greatest heroes the galaxy had ever seen. His training quite literally saved her life during Order 66, it helped her find the courage to leave the Jedi Order behind, and it taught her to think and act for herself. Even his descent to the dark side as Darth Vader served as a bad example for Ahsoka. He imbued a part of his own stubborn and headstrong personality into her, and without that, she never would have become as important as she is. Ahsoka is a huge part of Anakin’s legacy and easily the most impressive thing he accomplished in The Clone Wars.
