Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been out since October 2025, but it’s still getting plenty of small updates in the form of Mystery Gift codes. Mystery Gifts provide players with a continual stream of rewards, some of which require specific codes to activate. These codes expire and change frequently, so you’ll have to stay on top of them if you want to maximize the benefits.
With Pokémon Winds and Waves not set to arrive until 2027, enjoying everything that Pokémon Legends: Z-A has to offer remains one of the best ways for Pokémon fans to occupy themselves this year. For those who have recently pivoted to Pokémon Pokopia, the social simulation spin-off also has its own set of codes and rewards to track from month to month.

Since Legends: Z-A launched, we’ve seen numerous events, including Mystery Gift-based missions. From Mewtwo with the “Project M” side mission to Garchomp through the “Special Distortion Detected” quest through the Mega Dimensions DLC, there have been plenty of gift opportunities. HOME support has also finally arrived for Z-A, so you can either extract your Pokémon or have them visit Pokémon Champions.
New in November 2026, you can now receive a Spewpa through the game’s Mystery Gift feature. From now through November 18, you can get your Spewpa and work on evolving it into a Vivillon sporting one of 16 different patterns at random. The gift is being distributed as part of the Vivillon Challenge, which has players worldwide working together to reach a goal of 660,000. Once that number is reached, the game will release a special rare Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon, so get evolving!
Unfortunately, the lion’s share of Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift codes dropped since release have already expired. As of November 2026, however, there are still a few active promotions, and they don’t seem to be expiring any time soon. Many of these codes are ones that have been around since the spin-off title’s launch, indicating that they are likely evergreen phrases players can redeem at any time.
In other words, The Pokémon Company hasn’t given us a firm date for some code expirations, but many of the ones for this month remain the same as those from prior timeframes. In total, there are five different Mystery Gift bundles you can get through codes or meet certain requirements, such as completing parts of the game.

Hopefully, more Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift codes will crop up soon. There’s always a chance we could see more side missions, especially leading up to the marketing for Winds & Waves. With no announced Pokémon game on the way beyond Generation 10, it could be a long wait.
How To Redeem Mystery Gifts In Legends: Z-A
Complete Listed Requirements And Find Online Connections
Mystery Gifts can’t be redeemed in Pokémon Legends: Z-A off the bat, as you’ll need to make some progress in the story first. After meeting Mable in the third main mission (A New Life in Lumiose City), the Link Play option will become available in the main menu. Link Play is tied to many different rewards for the game, but only becomes something you can access with a proper internet connection.
Follow this simple step-by-step guide below to access the contents of various Mystery Gifts through Link Play:
- Open the Link Play menu after unlocking it through Legends: Z-A story progression.
- Find the “Mystery Gift” option within Link Play.
- Choose either “Get via Internet” or “Get with Code/Password”
- Input a code or password (if applicable) to unlock content within the game.
If you’ve met the requirements for any Mystery Gifts based on game completion, select “Get via Internet,” and the game will automatically provide any Mystery Gifts that you’re eligible for. If you have a code to input, select “Get with Code/Password” and input it to receive the Mystery Gift.
As of November 2026, there is only one Mystery Gift code that requires the input of a password. Be careful to copy the right grammar and spelling of this phrase to ensure you get the code’s rewards via Link Play.
For the side missions, they’ll become available on your world map and visible after obtaining the Mystery Gift item that enables them. They’re essentially a “key” that unlocks the content. Since they’re only 10 minutes long at most, it’s encouraged to just get through them when you can, in case there’s ever an expiration date.
