Maghnes Akliouche felt honoured to “join a club as prestigious as Paris Saint-Germain” after completing his move from Monaco on Thursday.
PSG signed Akliouche for a reported €50m from their Ligue 1 rivals, while the winger put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Parc des Princes.
The 24-year-old made 139 appearances for Monaco after rising through the youth ranks, scoring 23 goals and providing 27 assists.
Across the last three seasons, Akliouche has directly contributed to more goals (48) than any other Monaco player, while only Folarin Balogun (31) has scored more often than the France international (22).
And since the start of the 2023-24 season, Akliouche ranks first for balls recovered in the final third (88), second for assists (20) and third for both balls into the opponent’s box (368) and final passes before a shot in open play (119) in Ligue 1.
Akliouche failed to win any trophies during his time with Monaco, but he is determined to earn some silverware with PSG.
“I am very proud. And I’m obviously very happy! For me, it’s an honour to join a club as prestigious as Paris Saint-Germain,” Akliouche told the club website.

“When Paris Saint-Germain showed an interest in me, well, for me it was clear! It’s a special club for me because I grew up in the Paris region. It’s a great source of pride to play for Paris Saint-Germain.
“My aim? Simple: work hard and help the team win.
“I’m also aware of the high standards required to represent this team. I’m really focused solely on that today.”
