AEW Dynamite Results (Sept. 16, 2026) As All Out Build Continues

With All Out quickly approaching, the Sept. 16 episode of AEW Dynamite played a pivotal role in building toward the pay-per-view.

The show centered around Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley, who will go head-to-head at All Out for the AEW World Championship. The two stood on opposite sides of Dynamite’s main event, so would they trade physical barbs just 10 days before their title match?

A No. 1 contender’s match for the AEW World Trios Championship also took place between The Conglomeration and Adam Page and Brodido. Which team advanced to All Out?

That and more went down on Dynamite. Let’s take a look at what happened:

• Backstage, Stokely Hathaway says FTR will walk out of All Out as tag team champions. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher boast about defeating The Young Bucks, and Don Callis proposes adding them to the ladder match for the tag titles at All Out. Hathaway tells them they’ll consider it after All Out.

• Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Darby Allin and Steven Borden def. FTR, Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher by pinfall.

• Backstage, Jon Moxley says Will Ospreay targeting him is a bold, unexpected move. He says it’s incredible what Ospreay has overcome and that he understands how hard it has been. Moxley says he hopes Ospreay realizes that having a belt around his waist doesn’t mean he’s the best.

• Moxley says this was never about holding a belt around his waist, but about what he could become. He never wanted Ospreay to follow him, but to lead. He says that at All Out, when Ospreay looks across the ring, he’ll know whatever happens is his responsibility.

• Gabe Kidd questions why they should wait to attack Ospreay when they can break his leg tonight in the main event. Pac says they won’t let Ospreay off the hook as he stares down Moxley.

• Chris Jericho def. Nick Wayne by pinfall. After the match, Wayne attacks Jericho as he exits the ring.

• Excalibur announces that Mercedes Moné has not been medically cleared to compete at All Out, so Willow Nightingale vs. Thekla will instead determine who faces Moné at WrestleDream for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

• Backstage, Will Ospreay says United Empire has undergone plenty of changes and Andrade El Idolo is now in the group after Callum Newman invited him to join. Ospreay tells El Idolo to let him know when he’s ready for his guaranteed title shot. El Idolo says it’ll happen later, but for tonight, they’re on the same team. Francesco Akira says, “Let’s kick the sh*t out of The Death Riders.”

  Adam Page and Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) def. The Conglomeration (Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy) by pinfall to become the No. 1 contenders for the titles at All Out.

• In a pre-recorded promo before his match, Tommaso Ciampa challenges Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship at All Out.

• Tommaso Ciampa def. Myles Hawkins by pinfall.

• Tony Schiavone welcomes Swerve Strickland, Austin Creed and Kofi to the ring, but before they can reach it, The Demand viciously attacks them and leaves them lying in the ring.

• Backstage, Jack Perry says he’s been on a mission to face AEW’s former world champions. He says despite losing, he’s loving it because he’s learning and feeling something. He feels he’s inching closer to his impossible dream. Perry then calls his shot and challenges Samoa Joe to a match.

• Lena Kross def. Jamie Hayter by pinfall.

• Backstage, Kazuchika Okada calls Tommaso Ciampa a “b*tch” when asked about his AEW International Championship challenge. Ciampa attacks Okada and says he wants the Psycho Killer vs. the Rainmaker.

• Backstage, Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter call out Megan Bayne and Lena Kross following the finish of Hayter’s loss to Kross.

• The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd and Pac) def. Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo and Francesco Akira by submission. Moxley refuses to release a submission hold on Akira after the match until El Idolo makes the save and fights off The Death Riders. Clark Connors and David Finlay then run in and attack El Idolo. Moxley puts a chair around Akira’s head and prepares to attack him until Ospreay makes the save to close the show.
