Adamawa customers allegedly vandalise PXES office over fund withdrawal problems

The Yola office of an international investment entity called PXES has shut down after it was allegedly vandalised by angry customers.

PXES, and acronym for Professionalism Excellence Evolution Solution, is a savings outfit involving patrons who put down as little as N21,600 or as much as over N3 million, depending on the chosen category, and earn daily returns that enable them to recoup their entire capital in less than two months.

The situation, however, appeared to have come to a head among patrons in Adamawa State, who reportedly attacked the Yola office and carted away pieces of furniture and equipment.

DAILY POST gathered on Saturday afternoon that the customers, who were having problems withdrawing their money, suspected foul play and vented their anger on the office.

Sources said the incident occurred on Friday afternoon.

A resident with a fair knowledge of how PXES operates said the anger of the customers was understandable, as Friday is the only day of the week when customers in the lower rungs, those on Level 1 and Level 2, usually withdraw their earnings for the week.

While a couple of videos on social media showed rowdy crowds around the PXES Yola office, evidence of what occurred at the office was apparent in the premises being under lock and key on Saturday, contrary to the norm of the office being open to its customers even on Sunday.

The police could not confirm the attack when contacted before this report was filed a little after 3:30 pm on Saturday.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, told DAILY POST he was yet to get an official account of the incident from the DPO in charge of the area.
