76ers’ Pat Beverley warns LeBron JamesLeBron James is not merely one of the greatest basketball players to grace the NBA; he is also one of the richest, with a net worth of around $1.4 billion. That means the Philadelphia 76ers are now not only one of the leading title contenders but also have a player who likes to travel by helicopter.

Of course, he has been using a helicopter to travel to the 76ers’ training facility in Camden because he has chosen to split his time between New York and Philadelphia while playing for his new team. Still, that mode of transportation has invited a stern warning from none other than former 76ers star Patrick Beverley.

“LeBron got a helicopter landing in Camden… Camden is not a place where they’re used to helicopters landing… But Bron be careful, cause Camden isn’t the greatest neighborhood. People gonna start throwing rocks… pic.twitter.com/xNadqNDCv8

“LeBron got a helicopter landing in Camden,” he said. “Camden is not a place where they’re used to helicopters landing… But Bron be careful, cause Camden isn’t the greatest neighborhood. People gonna start throwing rocks at them motherf***ing helicopters, so be cool out there.”

Camden is one of the most economically distressed cities in the United States, and Beverley clearly believes that residents may not be accustomed to helicopters landing in their neighborhood. However, the comment was obviously made in jest, and one can assume LeBron will take the necessary precautions to ensure that his helicopter remains unscathed.

Moreover, James is understood not to own a helicopter and instead uses chartered helicopter services for his daily commute. Hence, there is no doubt that LeBron will not be worrying about the helicopter and will instead be solely focused on playing his best basketball for his new franchise.

After an incredible offseason that saw the 76ers snag two superstars in Jaylen Brown and LeBron himself, they are being counted among the league’s best teams. A fit and firing lineup that includes the likes of Brown, LeBron, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe undoubtedly has the talent needed to go all the way, and much will depend on how fit their best players can remain through the coming months.
