There are three undefeated teams left in the NFL after six weeks. Only the San Francisco 49ers are 6-0, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings are 5-0, with their bye weeks already occurring.

But while the 49ers are undefeated, they have some clear needs to address by the NFL trade deadline. Their depleted wide receiver room is one area worth targeting, but this defensive line is in a lot more need of a star player.

ESPN’s Ben Solak proposed a trade for the 49ers that would resolve this issue. He is proposing the 49ers send the Philadelphia Eagles two picks, both fourth-rounders, in exchange for defensive tackle Moro Ojomo.

49ers trade idea sends two fourth-round picks for Eagles’ Moro Ojomo

“DT Moro Ojomo to the 49ers for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 fourth-round pick (can become a conditional third),” Solak proposed.

The Eagles’ defensive tackles in recent years have been getting a ton of attention. Jalen Carter has led this group, but Milton Williams and Jordan Davis are two other big names who’ve garnered serious attention recently.

Williams inked a massive deal with the New England Patriots, and now it might be Ojomo’s turn to cash in during the offseason with a mega deal.

He’s set to become a free agent after 2026, and with the Eagles’ season spiraling out of control, it would make sense for them to trade Ojomo to the highest bidder.

While the 49ers might be more strongly linked to edge rusher help or a wide receiver, Ojomo, despite being an underrated defensive tackle, would be a huge pickup for the 49ers.

Even though Ojomo has flown a bit under the radar, his profile, as a pass-rushing DT who has a 10.6% pass-rush win rate, would be the exact kind of addition that could really help this defensive line out.

Nick Bosa is the top pass rusher. Osa Odighizuwa and Gracen Halton, along with Keion White and Mykel Williams helping out along the edge, round out the key players on this defensive line.

Adding someone like Ojomo, a high-upside pass rusher, would make a ton of sense for a 49ers team looking to improve the defensive front.

It was a big issue during the offseason, and they didn’t make a significant investment in the position. But now, with Ojomo likely available, this trade idea from Solak would make quite a bit of sense for John Lynch and the 49ers this Fall.
