After hosting the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason finale on Friday evening, the Denver Broncos will have until Sunday evening to finalize an initial 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season.
The Broncos currently have 91 players on their offseason roster, and by our estimation, 36 of them are locks to make the 53-man squad (and that’s a conservative number). Barring extremely unexpected trades, all of these players should be safe when the roster is trimmed this weekend.

After roster cuts on Sunday, teams will make waiver claims. Those claims will be processed on Monday, then clubs will be allowed to build 16- or 17-player practice squads for the 2026 season. We will track all of Denver’s moves on Broncos Wire.
