2027 WWC Playoffs: Super Falcons will fight to beat South Africa – Oshoala

Asisat Oshoala has said the Super Falcons can’t afford to miss out on a place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

The West Africans failed to secure automatic qualification to Brazil 2027 after losing 1-0 against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final fixture on Sunday night.

Justine Madugu’s side now face a more difficult route to the World Cup, starting with Thursday’s play-in clash against Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

The encounter will hold at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca, with kick-off set for 9pm Nigerian time.

Nigeria’s men team, the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup which was co-hosted by Canada Mexico and United States of America.

Oshoala claimed that it is important not to leave Nigerians twice disappointed.
