2027: We’re competing against thieves – Atiku
The 2027 African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, says the party is competing in the election against those he described as ‘thieves.’
In a video shared on his X handle on Wednesday, Atiku accused those in power of stealing the election and the country’s economy.
“We are competing with thieves. They stole the election. Now they have stolen the economy. They have stolen everything,” he tweeted.
The former Vice President equally reiterated his commitment to return fuel subsidy if elected president.
According to him, subsidy removal had pushed more Nigerians into poverty, emphasising that the responsibility of the government is to protect the welfare of citizens.
The ADC presidential candidate noted that Nigeria was rich enough to provide relief for its people and pledged to improve both economic and physical security if elected.
Atiku further stated that the rising fuel prices had increased transport and food costs, placing greater pressure on households. He stressed that he would support local production, help businesses grow and make wages more valuable for Nigerians.
