2027: We may have a president who will run away – Dino Melaye warns against rigging

Former federal lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has expressed fear that President Bola Tinubu may lead the country to a war part if the 2027 election is rigged in his favour.

In a video he posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, Melaye vowed that every attempt to manipulate the outcome of the election will be vehemently resisted.

According to him, Nigeria may end up having a president who would later run away, stating that the opposition will prove that “what happened in Indonesia” is possible in Nigeria.

He said, “My fear is very simple, that Tinubu may lead this country to a war part because he will try to rig but there will be vehement resistance.

“At the end of the day, we may have a president who will run away because we are not backing down. 

“We are with the people and we will speak as a people. Those in power in this country, are less than one percent of the population.

“It is an absurdity that one percent is oppressing 99 percent. We will prove that what happened in Indonesia can happen in Nigeria”.
