The national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Seriake Dickson on Saturday met with the party’s candidates and stakeholders in Imo State.
In a statement posted on his verified X handle on Saturday, Dickson described the meeting as “very fruitful.”
He urged them to build on the first meeting and hold subsequent meetings to achieve total unity and comprehensive reconciliation involving every stakeholder.
He promised that the party would also send a team of senior officers to Imo State soon to join the reconciliation efforts.
“This evening, I held a consultative/reconciliation meeting with leaders, candidates and stakeholders of the NDC in Imo State, led by His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa.
“We had a very fruitful meeting, and they all agreed to work together for the victory of all candidates of our party, from top to bottom.
“We also urged all candidates and party leaders to be instruments of reconciliation.
“I thank Chief Udenwa for the leadership he is providing as State Leader in Imo and urge him to do more with the support of the National Leadership of the party,” Dickson tweeted.
