2027: Peter Obi will betray one-term pact - Sambo

Arise News Political Editor, Sumner Sambo, has made a shocking revelation about the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday, Sambo said nothing will stop Peter Obi from seeking a second term if he wins the 2027 presidential election.

According to him, the idea being pushed by some political players that Peter Obi will do one term and hand over power is not realistic and will not happen.

“Nothing will stop Peter Obi from seeking a second term if he wins. He will betray a one-term pact,” Sambo declared.

He noted that once Obi becomes president, the Constitution guarantees him the right to seek a second term, and no agreement or gentleman’s pact can stop him from exercising that right.

Sambo added that Nigerian politicians always seek a second term once they taste power, and Obi will not be different.

Meanwhile, his remark has triggered massive reactions online, with Obidients defending Obi while opponents claim it has exposed the secret agenda behind the one-term promise.
