The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Deputy Governorship Candidate in Niger State, Dahiru Dan’azumi, has pledged that the party will tackle insecurity, unemployment and poverty if elected in the 2027 governorship election.
Dan’azumi made the pledge during a sensitisation visit to the PDP secretariat in Bosso Local Government Area, where he urged residents to support the party ahead of the elections.

He described the PDP as an active and growing political force in Nigeria and expressed confidence that it would win the 2027 elections.

Dan’azumi attributed some of the country’s challenges to unemployment and poverty, assuring residents that a PDP-led administration would work to address them.

He also highlighted the contributions of the party’s governorship candidate, Mamman Nami, claiming that he had facilitated the employment of more than 500 people from Niger State into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

He added that Nami had supported educational and healthcare infrastructure in his community.

Dan’azumi urged voters to support the PDP, expressing optimism that the party would deliver on its promises if elected.

Also speaking during the visit, the PDP candidate for the Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hauwa Shaho, pledged to prioritise the interests of women, youths and widows if elected.

Shaho said her ambition to join the National Assembly was driven by a desire to improve representation and create opportunities for vulnerable groups to participate in governance.

She urged women across the state to support her candidacy, promising to work for their welfare and the constituency’s development.

The visit formed part of the PDP’s efforts to mobilise grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
