2027: Obi challenges critics to trace 1% misappropriation of funds under his Anambra tenure

The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has challenged anyone to trace any misappropriation of funds during his eight-year tenure as governor of Anambra State.

He gave the challenge while speaking with Nigerians in a meeting in Washington, D.C.

Obi declared that he would stop campaigning for the 2027 presidential election if anyone could establish that 1% of the funds he managed as governor was misappropriated.

He said, “I was Governor of Anambra State for eight years and received about half a trillion naira.

“If you can trace where 1% of it was misappropriated, I will stop campaigning. I won’t say anything again concerning the 2027 presidential election.”
