2027: ‘Kebbi ADC campaign is mere distraction’ — State govt

The Kebbi State Government has described the African Democratic Congress, ADC, campaign in the state as a “mere distraction” from the developmental projects being executed by the administration.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Zuru, made the remark shortly after the ADC held a press conference to flag off its 2027 governorship campaign in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Zuru also rejected the opposition party’s claims on healthcare, education and insecurity, describing them as false.

He said the state had recorded improved security with the support of the government through sustained logistics and welfare for security forces.

According to him, security forces had rescued kidnapped victims and repelled several attacks in the state, despite what he described as the opposition’s attempt to ignore such achievements.

Zuru accused the opposition of shielding the truth and making claims he said were aimed at gaining political support.
