2027 3-star WR will announce commitment on Saturday night

This weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his staff, including running back coach and ace recruiter Trooper Taylor, will host several priority blue-chip prospects, including five-star cornerback texas-m-making-2027-5-100518829.html">Joshua Dobson and five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who arrived in College Station on Friday afternoon. After landing rising three-star safety Errol Kerns just hours after their arrival, the Aggies are officially on a recruiting heater.

In the 2026 recruiting class, Texas A&M signed four wide receivers, led by Aaron Gregory, who is on track to see the field this fall after an impressive string of performances during the spring practice period. In the 2027 cycle, four-star WR Jaden Upshaw is currently the sole wide receiver commit, while the Aggies are looking to land five-star Eric McFarland, who took his official visit last weekend.

Another name to watch is three-star wide receiver Briceson Thrower, who, after taking his official visit last weekend, will take OVs to Texas Tech, Illinois, and the Texas Longhorns this month. However, Thrower has reportedly made his decision earlier than expected and will announce his commitment on Saturday, June 6.

According to 247Sports’ post on Friday, Thrower will make his announcement at 7:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, which will be broadcast on CBS Sports’ YouTube channel, and will officially choose between Ohio State, Illinois, Texas Tech, Texas, and Texas A&M.

Right now, I expect the Longhorns to win the first battle, while Texas A&M OC Holmon Wiggins, who has been recruiting Thrower since he served as the program’s wide receivers coach, will continue to pursue the versatile route runner heading into the fall.
