China U-20 women’s head coach Wang Jun has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance against Nigeria’s Falconets.
The Asians were held to a 0-0 draw by Moses Aduku’s side in their second group game at the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on Thursday night.
Jun’s side dominated play, and twice hit woodwork in the keenly contested encounter.
China dropped to second position in Group F behind Spain, who pummelled New Caledonia 11-0.
The gaffer praised his players for their display despite the outcome of the game.
“The situation in our group is very obvious because Spain is a very top team so the match between us and Nigeria is key for the positioning in the Round of 16. Even though we missed some chances in the game, ultimately I am very satisfied with the result.” Jun told FIFA.com.
China will face Spain in their last group game on Sunday.
