Golden Tempo helped some bettors win some gold when he won the 2026 Belmont Stakes.
The 3-year-old horse came from behind to earn the victory at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York on Saturday, June 6. He also won the Kentucky Derby back in May, but could not capture the Triple Crown because his team chose to not run him in the Preakness.
Trainer Cherie DeVaux became the first woman trainer to win the Kentucky Derby. She is also now the first woman trainer to win two Triple Crown races.
The victory gives jockey Jose Ortiz his fourth Triple Crown win.
Commandment finished the Belmont Stakes in second and Renegade, the 9-5 favorite, finished in third.
