However, India will still be eager to finish the job with a series sweep, while Zimbabwe will want nothing more than to salvage some pride in front of their home supporters.

A comfortable seven-wicket win in the opening match set the tone, and India followed it up with an equally emphatic performance in the second fixture.

Ishan Kishan produced the standout innings of the match, smashing a rapid 81 off just 44 deliveries, while Tilak Varma chipped in with an unbeaten 60 to help India post a commanding total of 219 for 5.

That total proved well beyond Zimbabwe’s reach, as India cruised to a 90-run victory to seal the series.

For the home side, the story has been one of missed opportunities and fragile batting partnerships. Brian Bennett offered a rare bright spot in the second T20I with a quickfire 32 off 19 balls, but beyond his effort, the rest of Zimbabwe’s batting order struggled to cope with the discipline shown by India’s pace and spin options.
