Your guide to World Cup watch spots around Fayetteville

This year, the FIFA World Cup will be played in 16 cities worldwide, including 11 in the United States. This will be the first time matches have been played across three countries, with the closest game to Cumberland County being the eight games played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

If you’re a local and can’t make it to the games, which run from June 11 through July 19, here are a few places in Cumberland County where you can socialize and watch the game with fellow soccer fans.

Mi Casita’s flagship restaurant in Fayetteville has nine TVs, and the restaurant will show World Cup games by request.

During the tournament, visitors can also enter to win a VIP trip to the Spain vs. Saudi Arabia match on June 21. The prize includes flights, hotel accommodations and game tickets. To enter, fans can scan a QR code at the restaurant while games are on.
