NEW YORK – It’s a Cam Schlittler night at Yankee Stadium, as the first-place Yankees (45-28) open a three-game series Friday against the Cincinnati Reds (35-38).

Cincinnati will send right-hander Rhett Lowder (3-3, 4.60) against Schlittler (7-3, 1.82), coming off last Saturday’s no-decision at Toronto – allowing one run in seven innings of a 3-1 Yanks’ win.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. is back in the lineup at second base, after exiting Thursday night’s game against the White Sox. In the fourth inning, he fouled off a pitch that bounced up and caught him in a sensitive area.

Ben Rice enters Friday’s game having reached safely in 18 of his last 19 games since May 26, batting .325 (25-for-77) with a 1.026 OPS, four home runs and 16 RBI over that period.
